‘Twas only six sleeps ’til Christmas and the decorating is complete,
Which is just as well, cause mama can no longer get out of her seat.
On the mantle a row of Santa’s stand gracious and tall,

While a fir needle wreath illuminates the hall.

A lone silver snowflake brightens the bauble display.

Christmas trees, berries, candles and lights,
Fill our home with festive delight.
Although our home is now a glorious sight,
A mother can tell when something is NOT right.
Alas she’ll no longer be listening for hooves on the roof!!
But there’s more to Christmas than a fat jolly man & his 8 reindeer,
It’s all about friendship, family love and festive cheer.
Hear the bells, feel the warmth, light up with the glow,
Of a message first sent to us long ago.
Peace, love and good will and hope burning bright,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Love and hugs,
Kerryanne xx
Oh Kerryanne,You are the true poet!
I had chills and grins whilst reading,Your decorating looks lovely and festive.
Merry christmas yes to you and yours.
Hi Kerryanne, I’ve been thinking of you, glad you’re now home, but not so glad you’re in bed for six weeks!! Poor Mama! I hope the time flies for you.
This certainly will be a Christmas you won’t forget.
All the best to you and your family!
Aaawww Kerryanne!
What a fabulous post…love the words, decorating & pictures…
Pity about Miss Aimee & the Santa thing, lucky that she got to that age before she caught on…but even, so I do believe in the magic of Christmas, hope she does too.

Hey Kerryanne! What do you MEAN Santa’s not real!!! I saw him at the shop last night!! Tee! Hee! Hee! Loved your photos – how organised are you that not only had you decorated before going to hospital, you’d taken photos ready to use – now THAT’s organised!! I played ‘Snap’ with some of your Santa’s as most of mine are from your patterns – bought and painted before we became blogging buddies – how cool is THAT!! Hope you’re not too bored yet and enjoying crusing blogland! Bear Hugs you little Christmas poet, you!! KRIS
