Welcome to my 7th Annual
Simply Christmas
If the idea of a simple ‘homemade’ Christmas sounds appealing to you, then please join me here for Simply Christmas, which runs for 8 weeks from today through to Christmas Eve.
I will be sharing lots of free crafting projects, printables, recipes, Christmas decorating and gift ideas.
Getting organised for Christmas isn’t difficult… a little forward planning and making an early start is all that is needed to pace yourself for a stress free Christmas.
If you are anything like me and enjoy decorating your home for Christmas, making gifts and baking festive favourites, then now is the time to start planning and preparing for Christmas… I know it seems early, but trust me, this really works!!
It has become the annual tradition to kick off my Simply Christmas event with a free printable Christmas planner….
The vintage Christmas planner has proved popular over the past 6 years and I always enjoy seeing how you put yours together.
Like last year, this planner is in A5 format, with 2 pages to one sheet of A4 paper. I use an A5 art journal as my base. These can be picked up at any stationery shop or art store quite cheaply.
One of the reasons I enjoy this size is because it is small enough to take with me when I’m shopping, but still big enough to have lots of pages.
Some of the pages in this years planner are double width and will need to be cut vertically down the centre. I designed these pages like this, so the calendars would be larger and viewed as a double page spread.
The rest of the pages have 2 pages per printable page and are ready to be cut into 2 individual pages and mounted in your art journal. I use white glue to mount my pages.
There’s really no right or wrong with this project…. every year I’m inspired by the creativity of others who find interesting ways to put together their Christmas planner.
The 2016 Christmas Planner is no longer available.
To download the 2016 Christmas Planner, click on this link to open and then right click and save the file to your own computer.
Personally, I print my planner pages on 100 gram matt photo paper. The paper is really thin and the photo paper gives a nice quality to the artwork.

Happy festive crafting my friends!

This is a great idea! I don’t usually “plan” Christmas… it just falls on me as it may. I’m looking forward to the next 8 weeks of all of your goodies, ideas, crafts, etc. Last year, I made several of your gifts as gifts for my sisters! They loved them! Thank you for all of the wonderful sharing that you do.
