Butterflies can’t see their wings.
They can’t see how truly beautiful they are…
But everyone else can!
I know a lot of my northern hemisphere friends are applauding the first signs of Spring, so I’ve been thinking about what I love about Spring too.
I don’t experience cold winters where I live, so I’m not awaiting the warmth or the melting of snow.
For me, it’s the blooming of beautiful flowers and fluttering butterflies in my garden that fill me with Spring joy.
I designed this project to bring the gorgeousness inside too.
You are welcome to download these butterflies to use in your crafting projects.
Simply right click on the image and save to your own computer. You may want to resize them for various projects.
Please note, these are my copyrighted designs. They are not to be reproduced in other people’s digital collections or circulated without my consent. They are for personal use only.
I uploaded my images to a word document and resized them to fit my projects.
The page was printed on matt photo paper and then cut out with sharp pointy nose scissors.
Some I added to wire stems to, for use in a vase. To make them, I cut out 2 identical butterflies and lay them on top of each other with a tiny bit of glue just on the butterfly body. When the glue dried, I separated the wings a little. Next step was to run a bead of glue down the underside of the body and position wire there.
What a pretty addition to a vase of Spring blooms.
I made some smaller butterflies that I glues to a length of bakers twine.
Imagine these strung up in a vignette, wrapped around a gift or around the outside of a vase.
Other ideas for using the printable butterflies is for tags and cards, scrapbook layouts and mobiles.
I’d love to see what you make with them!

You have inspired me to make an Easter centerpiece with my grandchildren. I’ll print the butterflies on card stock so they can cut them out, glue them and put in the wires. Then ‘ll buy a centerpiece for the dinner table and they can decorate it. Thanks Kerryanne for sharing your wonderful talents.
