I’m still doing some housework here on my blog following the move. . . so please be patient if you find any dead links.
I’m making my way around my blog repairing broken links and meandering through old blog posts.
I’ve actually found it quite interesting reading back over old projects and tutorials. . .
Seeing how my writing and photography styles have changed and grown.
I rediscovered this project from 2011, which is still one of my most popular tutorials.
French Handbag Organiser Tutorial
It was one of those projects that came about out of pure necessity. . . and sometimes I recon they are the best projects, because if I need it then there’s a good chance others out there need it too.
I’m definitely one of those women who carries everything in her handbag. . . just in case!
The more stuff I collect the bigger the bag gets. . . and the bigger the bag gets the less chance I actually have of finding what I need in there.
So that’s how I came to design this French Handbag Organiser.
Naturally, I love dreamy whites and neutrals . . . and a little bit of French ‘Oh La La’ will brighten anyone’s day, so this is how I designed it for ME.
You might prefer some brighter colours or different embellishments. . . and that’s okay.
The tutorial that you can read HERE gives a basic layout and dimensions for you to make the project your own.
I’m still using my French Handbag Organiser and love that it keeps all my personal items together in one place. I even made a smaller version of this one for my daughters school bag, to keep a few incidentals she often needs for school.
The Tutorial page on my blog has been repaired, so please feel free to click on over and check out 50+ tutorials from Shabby Art Boutique.
I’m sharing my French Handbag Organiser at this week’s link parties and with these friends: Clean and Scentsible, Live Laugh Rowe, The DIY Dreamer, Tutorials, Tips & Tidbits – Stone Gable, Blissful White Wednesday at Timewashed, Transformation Thursday, French Country Cottage, The Vintage Farmhouse, 36th Avenue, Be Inspired Friday at Common Ground.

Ths isi so very pretty and smart. I love that it is delicate looking but can really work for a major function.

I loved this when you first shared it with us – it is beautiful and oh so very useful.
One of these days I will actually sit down and take some time to make some of these pretty things for ME.
