My parents arrived bright and early this morning, clad in their work clothes and ready to spring clean my house. What a thoughtful thing to do and boy do I appreciate it!!! Now my house is all clean and ready to decorate for Christmas.
The girls and I have a long list of jobs…..there are cards and letters to be prepared and posted, gifts to be wrapped, a tree to be trimmed, an important letter for Santa, Christmas baking and lots of Christmas cheer to be spread through our house.
There is no greater joy than seeing the festive season through the eyes of a child – their enthusiasm is contagious and magical.
I look forward to sharing some of this magic with you all over the next few weeks.
Hi Kerryanne,
Wow when your parents are finished with your house, could you send them over this way. I have been putting off doing “the big clean” for Christmas. Maybe this weekend, when I dig out all of the decorations!
I agree about seeing Christmas through the eyes of children, it is truly contagious & magical, all rolled into one!
Have a fabulous week,

Children and Christmas…it’s a beautiful combination!!
I laughed out loud at the graphic of your “parents” come to clean the house! Too funny!
Sounds like you have wonderful parents!
Hi Kerryanne,
I can now catch up with you, the fairs are finally over and I’ve got our swap ready to be posted 🙂 I hope it will tie in with that beautiful decoration you’ve got going on there. Your parents are the greatest gift aren’t they… so wonderful that they come to help out. Have fun decorating.. can’t wait to see all the pretties.
Hugs, Adla
What a wonderful gift – that is sooo nice of your parents…yes Christmas is so wonderful, cant wait to see future updates of how you are decorating! Mel xxx
I have to agree with you about our children bringing magic to christmas! So true!
HI Kerryanne, I love the lead up to Christmas and my children are so excited already! I even let them decorate the tree, by themselves and…I didn’t get up in the middle of the night to redecorate it ( yep have done that before). What a good Mother I am this year, maybe Santa will bring me a special present….have a wonderful day, kiss noises Linda Lilly Cottage.
Great parents! I laughed so hard when I saw the photo of the 3 cleaning ladies! When I’m having a poor me day of cleaning I will have to show that pic to my husband!
Love the photo of your white tree near your fireplace. Beautiful! Hearing you talk about getting your family ready for Christmas made me smile. I will have to do the same! This year, I have been slow to get started, but you have inspired me! Thank you!
