It was great to be up and out of bed this week. I’m building my stamina up each day and getting adapt at managing on crutches – not that I go far. LOL
I’ve not yet made it down to the studio to paint but maybe that can be a goal for this week. I haven’t lifted a brush for well over 7 weeks and look forward to filling my palette again and losing myself in the moment. There are several canvases that need finishing and I always have ideas for new ones.
I plan to re-open my business on the 29th June, which will please many customers who I know have been hanging out for certain patterns. It has been 6 months since I closed the business temporarily for what I thought would only be 2 months. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to fill orders for faux cakes yet, but hopefully I can very soon.
This week I have worked on a couple of sewing UFO’s. This one has been hanging around for so long I had forgotten about it. It is a self coloured embroidery cushion for my bed.
…and a ribbon bow…

Hey Kerryanne! Oooooh! What pretty embroidery on your cushion! You’ve done such lovely neat bullion stitches – I’m not very good at those. And your satin stitch is also so very neat – what a clever chook you are! Must be stitching day, as I’m curled up in front of “Midsomer Murders” and have started the applique on my new quit-design-in-progress – YIPPEE!! Have been hanging out to do so, but had to get all the paperwork done for the mag first. Will look forward to seeing your cushion finished and the paintings you’re hoping to work on this week! Bear Hugs! KRIS
