Hi there creative friends,
Thank you to everyone who popped in to visit my craft room last week. I enjoyed sharing it with you and loved all of your kind comments.
As I work from home, my craft room is my workplace and therefore a very important part of what I do.
My work time is divided between the craft room and the office space…. and while I love my craft room, there has been something missing for a long time.
Remember I shared that I had a special delivery arriving last weekend… well, it arrived.
It’s been on order for about 10 months and finally it was available!
Can you guess what it is?
It’s my new craft room buddy….. [doing cart wheels here].
Let me introduce you to sweet little Bonnie.
Those of you who have been following my blog since it began over 13 years ago, may remember my beautiful studio buddy Gypsy.
She came to work with me every day for 12 1/2 years. When she passed it ripped a piece of my heart out and I couldn’t even contemplate getting another dog.
We have our toy poodle Milly, who is our family dog, but she is not one to spend time in the craft room… actually, she failed basic studio buddy training! But that’s okay because she is our adored fur baby.
So, it’s been 6 years since Gypsy left and finally in 2020 I decided that I was ready for a new side kick.
I contacted our breeder and waited very patiently. The two litters from last year were all boys…. then finally in January a new litter produced five boys and the last pup was our Bonnie girl. Usually there are 3 or 4 pups in each litter, so this was the largest litter this breeder had ever had… it was so meant to be!
Bonnie
So we first met and held Bonnie at 6 days old and have watched her grow each week until she was ready to come to her forever home.
Bonnie is a Bichon Frise – (pronounced BEE-shawn FREE-say), just like my Gypsy.
As my girls and I are allergic to animal dander, we have always had dogs with wool coats. This is my 3rd Bichon, so I know that we have no issues with this breed.
Little Bonnie is now 9 weeks old and weighs 1 kilo (2.2 pounds).
Like all puppies, she spends half her time getting into mischief and creating havoc….
And the other half fast asleep.
She’s had her first day in the craft room earlier in the week.
Everything was lifted off the floor and out of reach, so she only had her toys to play with.
There’s lots to teach her about being a good craft room buddy….
But for now, she is finding it all quite exhausting.
I look forward to sharing Bonnie’s craft room adventures with you ♥
Happy crafting my friends!
Hugs
♥

What a pretty little girl! She is perfect. You and Bonnie will have so many happy years together. She’s the official CRB (craft room buddy). ❤️❤️❤️
Your little Bonnie is so sweet. I hope she brings you lots of joy and laughter. She will be a great companion in your beautiful craft room.
She is so precious! I know you are feeling truly blessed. Thank You fir sharing her with us. ???
Congratulations on your new puppy. I just rescued a coton de Tulear, which is a dog that looks very much like yours. So happy with my sweetie.
What a treat to meet Bonnie. I know how hard it is for some of us to get over loosing a beloved pet. I am sure your Gypsy is happy for your joy at finding a “meant to be” pet again. I look forward to seeing her pictures in the future. Thank you for sharing.
Oooohhhh such a sweet baby!!! I love your new craft room too!
Welcome, little Bonnie! You are so precious! I hope we get to see lots of pictures of you.
Oh, Bonnie is just adorable! So sweet. I am sure she will be a constant joy to you.
Hello Kerryanne,
How wonderful for you to have this beautiful little darling to keep you company. Bonnie will enjoy being with you while you work and it won’t take her long to learn all the rules. I look at the pics and I just want to hug her, she is so gorgeous. I know you both will have lots of fun and laughter in the years ahead. I have a little black and white, Maltese/ Shitzu, she is now 5kg and 7 years old, her name is Angel and she is also the love of my life, along with my partner Garry. Thank you for sharing this very special time in your life with us all. Hugs to you both.
She is adorable! Congrats on your new little addition. My crafting buddies are two cats. They’re good at drinking water out of my cup when I’m not looking, laying on my crocheted projects and of course, cuddling. Animals make everything better.
Oh Kerryanne, she’s beautiful. Looking at the photos she would melt your heart. I love the look of her and how lovely to meet her from when first born. May you have many hours of fun with her and enjoy your walks and playtime and craft room time. Hugs, Shirley

She will be perfect for many years to come once you train her and you will have lots of love and hugs and kisses to come from her, I can just tell. Hugs to you my friend, and bless you always. : )
