Bonjour les amis mon [hello my friends],
For those of you who are regular visitors of the Shabby Art Boutique, you already know of my love for all things French.
I adore the stylish simplicity of French decorating. . . especially the French farmhouse style. My work is often French inspired and this theme will definitely be a major part of my collection for the end of year markets. I’ve already began preparing my stock. . .
French is often called the language of LOVE. . . and this sweet repurposed wood bowl with it’s vintage flowers and shabbiness proudly states
L’amour ~ which is the French word for LOVE.
I used a vintage clip art graphic from here and adhered it using the reverse transfer method.
I sanded, flyspecked and distressed the bowl to add just the right amount of shabbiness.
What do you think?
Here’s a small sneak peak of a few other things on my work desk today.
These will all be for sale at the Artist Market in October.
Some other cuties on my desk today are these little wooden birdies. How sweet are they?
They may not be French, but they do continue the LOVE theme.
Well my friends, that’s just a taste of what is happening in the studio this week. I’ll be back in a day or two to show you some more French inspired gorgeousness.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
Прекрасно,нежно,като езика на любовта!!!Поздрави!
Tres jolie Kerryanne (and that’s about the extent of my French LOL).
The bowl is beautiful and I love the look of the other bits you have on your desk.

Very romantic pieces. I love all things with a “French Connection” and these are wonderful examples.
I just love the way you do the French connection Kerryanne. I am sure that you will sell everything at the markets. I love the little birds and the way you have aged the bowl.
