Day 35…. yeah I’m still here seeing out my days of recovery.
Another friend Marisa, a regular visitor, popped by for a tall ice cold Midori [our fav] and also left me some home grown figs. I know a lot of people don’t really like figs which I think is great – less people I have to share with. If I only have a couple I usually grill them with a sprinkle of brown sugar.

Even the most mundane things take on a new form when you are bored stiff – take finger nails for instance.

….to outrageous nail art!!!
Hhmm…I’ve considered the options and decided to stick to a French polish. Maybe a bit boring but I think I need a few more weeks in bed before I will be insane enough to put my artwork on my fingernails. Besides, I’ve got heaps of blank canvases calling my name in the makeshift studio …..Kerry, Kerry, come paint me!! Who could resist that? LOL
I’ll be in the studio for the next day or two.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
Yes can see how that is all wearing thin! Its great you got dressed though!! Take Care – Rachael p.s. do love the nail art – on other people! xo oh thats right, I gave you an award on my blog! xo thats all now . . .
Ahhhh If only we lived closer I would happily pop by and entertain you in some fashion for an hour or so each day…
I would have to agree 5 weeks in bed is hard gooing…Thankfully we have’nt had too too many hot days that you have missed out on though.
Hope your nail dreaming and art helps keep your mind off things,Keep pplugging along…
You have my email …Email me with a phone number and I will surprise you with a call sometime:)?????
Hey Kerryanne! I can’t even send cheerful but pointless emails to keep you entertained at the moment!! AAAAAARRRRGGHHH!!! (that was for both of us!!!) Tee! Hee! Hee! Oooohh!! I’m rather partial to fig jam myself – Mum has been known to make it. And like you, I have been blessed with very strong nails that require no attention whatsoever to grow long and a nice shape – and then I’ll do some gardening or painting, or push pins and needles through with my nails and they all end up different lengths – or they get TOO long and get in the way when I type. I’m with you about the “keep it simple” nail decorating. ALthough … roses on your thumbs could look good! Can’t wait to see the results of your newfound inspiration – told you it would be there when you were ready! Oh, this is long, but I don’t have email!!! Soon – I hope! Bear Hugs! KRIS
5 weeks already? sorry but i cant believe it has been that long. you should totally do some art work on your nails, i can just see you with shabby roses on your nails. %*_*%
Oh dear Kerryanne, don’t do it, it can’t be that bad, well maybe it can but there are other ways to be entertained, I shall do my best to find something for you to do before you resort to nail graffitti. I shall return…..kiss noises Linda Lilly cottage at home http://lillyhootandhoney.typepad.com as I can only leave a comment through the blogger dooby…moi
It’s sounds like you’re doing great, although terribly bored lying in bed for weeks! What I’d give for you to paint Shabby Roses on my nails…Lol! I’d have to get acrylics first though as I’m not fortunate enough to have lovely long nails… Keep your chin up, love the sound of that Fig jam!
Best wishes,
Jenelle
Sounds like you are coping pretty well considering. You know what? I am picturing pretty little roses painted on your fingernails Kerryanne! Even if you try it for a few days in bed where no one can see you!!
Please KerryAnne step away from the mountain dew nails!! No seriously i am glad you are making progress and just think that when you are back to rushing around like a mad thing you will look back at this time and think the bed is looking good! I am glad you have lovely friends coming to keep you company, the one that brought Midori sounds very good value indeed. Keep your spirits up, every day you will be a bit better, Mel xxx
