Saturday morning, 7 am.
Location: My beach.
Breathe in. . . 1 2 3 4. . . breathe out . . . 1 2 3 4
The sun has dawned over the beach with what promises to be a gorgeous day.
I close my eyes. . . feel the warmth of the sun on my face.
The cool sand underfoot reminds me that the last tendrils of winter still remain.
The sun dances over the shallows like a million shimmering stars. . . what beauty.
I decided last night after my meditation class that on this rare occasion, with nothing much planned for the weekend, we needed to stop and simply take a breath.
Sometimes life gets too busy and we forget to r-e-l-a-x.
So this morning I am being mindful,
peaceful,
grateful,
enjoying the moment,
and simply being.
Just being . . . ME.
Our recent rough seas have changed the beach landscape, moved the sand and created some pretty shallows at low tide.
It’s easy to be at peace walking on this beach, inhaling the fresh air and drinking in natures beauty.
Amazing textures everywhere you look.
After a hectic week that was filled with too many juggling acts, events and activities, it’s nice to enjoy the moment.
I’m not planning anything today.
Sure there are a million things I could be doing. . . need to be doing. . . and want to be doing,
but I also appreciate the importance of taking time out to breathe.
Don’t we all need a day like this occasionally to revitalise and restore the balance to our lives.
Namaste.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
Oh, I know exactly how you feel….
We’re having a time out day too, it’s a bit wet and miserable outside so it’s good for just being! OOOhhhhMMMM! OOOhhhhhmmmmm!
P.S. Beautiful photos and I love Eva Cassidy, can’t leave your page until the song has finished.
Beautiful photos Kerryanne – they so reflect the peaceful mood.
Have a wonderful relaxing day. I’m off to a craft class where I will probably be getting messy but having fun with other crafty folk.
Have a great weekend.
Toni xx
Hi Kerryanne,
Oh, such gorgeous photos!
I’m sure you’re local paper or tourist places would be interested in buying these for advertising.
Ahh, Great post~Wish I was there with you!
Creative hugs,
Anna
BEAUTIFUL post, Kerry. Gosh, wish I was there right now breathing in that fresh sea air and admiring the beauty. It’s oh so important to stop and enjoy the moment… there’s nothing quite as refreshing for the soul as the beauty of mother nature. Enjoy!!! xxxxxxxxxxxx
Thank You so much for visiting the party… and THANK you for “buttoning-up”.
Visiting your blog tonight… 😉
Thanks for creating a lovely relaxing scene. Funny how Sunday used to be the day to do just that but with 7 day shopping, the traditional day of rest seems to have gone out the window. I miss those times when you couldn’t just nip down to the shops because it wasn’t open. We all need to consciously (and mindfully) block out time on a regular basis to chill out (and not change the time set aside!)
Thanks for the reminder
Lee:)
