Today you find me in a pretty corner of my craft room.
I do love every part of my creative space…
but right now, this is the only tidy, uncluttered spot!
I’m actually crushing on my gorgeous new tea strainer… pink and white and pretty… it fits right in with my pastel Greengate.
I received it for my birthday last week from a dear friend… oh she knows me so well.
It’s the little things that fill my day with delight.
GreenGate cottage pretties and sweet owls…
Oh yes, I’m really into owls right now!
I know everyone was into owls ages ago… I feel like I’m joining the conga line at the very end on this one, but at least I didn’t miss it all together.
It wasn’t until a pair of owls decided to nest in the tree outside our bedroom that I discovered how exquisite these birds are. During the day I can see them from my upstairs bedroom. They look so sweet all snuggled up together. At night I hear them calling out to each other with gentle echoing hoots.
I don’t suppose it would surprise you to know that owls are featuring in my Christmas decorating for 2015… lots of owls in fact… but I’ll be sharing that later on.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this minute or two of GreenGate gorgeousness today.
I know I have… but now I must turn my attention to the other side of my craftroom; the really messy part [sigh] and decide whether to clean up before I start on the next Christmas project or push it all aside and just keep crafting!

I think I’ve been taking a leaf out of your book Kris – lol. I’m at that point where there is nowhere else to push the ‘stuff’, so there needs to be a clean up of epic proportions. I almost can’t get in the door!! xxx

Oh how I wish Greengate was available here in the U.S.! But I will content myself with admiring your lovely collection! I think it’s quite nice you are embracing your owls as a theme; years ago I lived in a canyon where we had barn owls that talked up a storm every night. I found it such a soothing sound to fall asleep to. Looking forward to your 6th annual Simply Christmas; thank you so much for sharing your amazing creativity!
