Dear Computer,
You’ve failed me in my hour of need.
Okay… let’s be completely honest, I require computer access 24/7, so I may seem, dare I say it….. a little needy.
But you are still kind of new and definitely under warranty. What happened?
I’ve fawned over you since I had you made earlier this year.
Your graphics capabilities, speed and memory amazed me. I talked you up to my friends…I flatter you with complements and adoration.
[sigh] I even said the ‘L’ word…
Could you not have given me some kinds of heads up that you were about to die… a little hissy fit, a cough or splutter… something?
Nope… you were just gone when I greeted you Monday morning!
I rushed you to the computer shop, but the computer tecs have sent you home to rest up until your new parts arrive. You are next to useless, so I’ve had to turn my attention to others projects.
With pattern writing on hold and the Christmas magazine at a stand still, I’m working on other things this week… like some Christmas painting, projects for Simply Christmas and my kitchen renovation.
I’m trying to channel my frustration into a positive reaction and hopefully everything should be back to normal by next Monday. Until then, I’m social media hopping via my phone and iPad.
Perhaps this is a good time to ask you, my readers, what you’d like to see in the Simply Christmas event this year.
I’ve already got quite a few fun projects and recipes planned, plus free downloads and printables. I’d love to hear your suggestions.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne
super
How frustrating for you Kerryanne – hope the ‘tecs’ can get everything sorted for you.
Love the photos of the reindeer…so cute.
Well I’m sure you already know what I look forward to each year for Simply Christmas – another of your wonderful planners.
Hope the PC is sorted quickly for you…hugs…Toni xx
Maybe ‘Big Boy’ thought you needed some hands on creative time 🙂 And you didn’t disappoint him-your reindeer stuffed Tilda stocking is festive at it’s best. I know, as always, Simply Christmas be something worth waiting for. My only ask would be for a little vintage feel, to appease my nostalgic heart.
Hope, come Monday, the pants are the right fit and he keeps them on !!! You can do without that sort of stress at the busy end of the year. xo
And the technology just lets you down when you are desperate.
Hope that everything get sorted out soon.
Lots of blessings from South Africa
Oh that is frustrating Kerry, but this is also written hysterically, I laughed and its been a while, thanks. You WIll get your pc back and things will be smoothed out again shortly….if not already. What I’d like to see in the Simply Christmas, is the varied shades of Christmas some creative artistic ladies are doing, like “pink Christmas” or “white Christmas” or ”silver”…..etc….the varied shades I find so interesting. Hope that helps. Other than that I’d simply like to see the issue because it will be well done as always, that is your hallmark. I love your magazine. 🙂
Oh Kerryanne hope your computer gets up and feeling better soon. They are the life line sometimes and when they don’t work it is horrible. Love the reindeer. So cute.
Kris
Every now and then we are forced to slow down. Maybe your hubby sabotaged it. lol! Of course I’m just kidding. No fun when you have deadlines. Mines just all fun and play. Hope all gets fixed soon. I’m sure whatever you do will be fabulous or should I say, Shabbilicious?
hugs,
Jann
