I’m heading off tomorrow for a ‘mini break’…..yippee!!!!
My friend Marisa and I are off to Ballarat – Victoria’s Op Shop capital.
Here you can find over 20+ op shops/ second hand goods stores/ vintage & retro stores plus a myriad of antique shops. The only thing that could make this even better is if Ballarat was also having a hard rubbish collection. I’m not very good with pinching other peoples junk off the curb but Marisa is a gem. She actually goes and knocks on the door and tells them she is walking off with said junk. I wish I could be that dedicated to collecting vintage pieces. Hopefully we will score well and i will return with many new painting surfaces.
We are making a gorgeous little 1880’s miners cottage, which has been converted to a B&B, our base for the rest of the week. Oh dear, no kids, no hubbies, no work – how will I cope with the peace and quiet??? Maybe I will miss them just a little bit.
