One of the things I love about Spring is how easy it is to brighten up your decor.
As you know, I’m all about the neutral white background for decorating, which is the perfect backdrop for adding a splash of colour with accessories.
So, I’ve grouped together a few of my handmade projects and tutorials for you today that are easy and simple ways to freshen up your decor for Spring.
One of the easiest ways to give a room a fresh new look is by changing your cushion/pillow covers. I especially love that covers take up very little storage room, so I can afford to have several different sets.
I never tire of this pretty pastel cottage look cushion that I made using the super easy faux patchwork technique.
It takes a fraction of the time of making real patchwork, yet still has that lovely handmade appeal.

One easy way to tie your seasonal elements together is by using a set colour scheme. You’ll notice with these projects that I’ve limited my colour palette to just a few colours and I’ve used the same fabrics throughout.
Not only is this shabby house tea towel pretty, it also adds an element of fun to your kitchen. Get the full tutorial for the Shabby House Tea Towel here.
Once again, same fabrics, but this time used to make a faux patchwork trivet.
Don’t these pretty colours look cheery!!
While you have your patchwork materials on hand, why not whip up one of these adorable faux patchwork coffee cosies too!!
Spring is fresh and pretty… and anything floral just screams Spring.
These quick and easy French Sign Printables are perfect for popping in amongst your Spring vignettes.
One of the simplest Spring accessories is fresh flowers.
Whether they are picked from your own garden or store bought, they can pick up the vibe of a room with little effort. My tip is to look for unconventional vessels to put them in to add even more visual interest.
