Hello friends,
Since I shared my Reindeer trio on my bHome for the Holidays post last week, I’ve had so many people enquiring about them.
They’re certainly fun and a whole lot of cute…. so let me tell you about this handmade gathering of deer.

This Christmas I’ve made two sets of reindeers; one in tan linen for a loved one and this lighter set in cream osnaburg for myself. I decided on the lighter colour because I was originally going to create a white Christmas.
Although the original design is for a hanging duo of reindeers, I added rice to the lower half of the bodies to allow them to sit on their own. Those adorable antlers are simply sticks and twigs from the garden.
The Reindeer are a pattern in this Tilda book, Homemade & Happy by Tone Finnanger.
As Tilda patterns go, this one is a very easy to follow pattern and also quite quick to make – allow an afternoon for a set of 3 reindeer.

Homemade and Happy is a gorgeous collection of inspirational home accessories including quilts, cushions and decorative items to make for Christmas…… it’s a beautiful book for both fall/winter and Christmas.
And there is even another pattern for cute reindeers…. you would have seen this smaller reindeer in my Christmas photos of past years.
Below are a few more of the gorgeous projects you’ll find in the book.

Lots of gorgeous dolls, angels, patchwork, gold winged sheep and round eyed owls too.
I can thoroughly recommend this book, having made many of the patterns in it already.
The reindeer really are too sweet and I like them even more in a set of 3 (1 x large and 2 x small pattern).
If you get your own copy of Homemade and Happy, I’d love for you to share what you make.
Happy Christmas crafting!
Hugs
