The new year has blessed me with several new and exciting creative challenges.
I’m still going to be creating and teaching in my studio most days. . .
plus I have a new contract that will be taking me out of the studio to teach. . . which is very exciting and will broaden my creative stretch.
Added to that, I’ve also joined forces with my friend Kylie to launch a new business venture. . . The Shabby Nest.
We’ve combined our talents to produce a unique range of homewares to make your house a HOME.
The Shabby Nest collection is designed to suit a range of decors including the ever popular shabby, French, farmhouse, Hampton’s and vintage inspired styles.
We will be selling this collection monthly at The Artist Market in the Vines, which will be held on the 4th Sunday of the month at Cassegrain Winery, Port Macquarie, Australia. See our blog for market dates.
We love unearthing unique vintage treasures to up-cycle into interesting and distinctive pieces.
We search for quality pieces that have that time worn, chippy and distressed look. . . and quite often we re-invent it with a little added charm.
If you loved the look of the Hampton’s white wash decor in Revenge, you’ll love my line of practical and pretty shabbilicious goodies. . . from stools to shelf units, plant pots to tin ware. . . you never know what you’ll find from one month to the next.
Kylie, who just happens to be an aromatherapist, has a beautiful line of scented goodies to fill your home with welcoming fragrance.
The Shabby Nest scented range includes whiffdimples, warmoozles, bath salts, hand scented incense, smelly birds & lavender sachets.
They all make perfect gifts . . . and we are more than happy to gift wrap.
We will be sharing our latest thrifted finds on our Shabby Nest Facebook page regularly. . . so make sure you pop over and ‘like’ us and stay updated.
And for those of you who don’t live on the mid north coast. . .
Some items will be available to buy directly from us, so if you see something you like, just ask!
So many exciting adventures coming your way! I’d love to be able to go to your artist market place on those Sundays! How fun that would be!
