Hi creative friends,
This month, we’re stepping into the enchanting world of Rosewood, the newest Craft Room kit for February.
Inspired by the beauty of an Australian lavender farm, this shabby and whimsical collection is filled with delicate florals… lavender, white roses, and eucalyptus… paired with soft pastel hues of mauve and green.
Adding to its charm, friendly koalas, playful kangaroos, and shy possums bring a touch of native wildlife to your crafting projects.
Our talented Design Team members Nicola, Lauren, Sandra, and Agnieszka have been busy creating stunning projects with Rosewood, and I’m excited to share their beautiful work with you!
Nicola – Shabby Journals Crafts & More
Nicola set this month’s creative prompt: to turn trash into treasure with a folio holder.
She took a simple cereal box and transformed it into a stunning lacy vintage-style folio, sharing her process in this video.
Her project is a testament to how everyday items can be reimagined into something elegant and functional.
Facebook Live ‘Craft & Chat’ with Nicola and Lauren
Nicola and Lauren hosted another fun-filled Craft & Chat session, where they experimented with printing Rosewood kit elements onto fabric for slow stitching projects.
They even added an Aussie twist with a taste-testing of classic Australian sweets, making for an entertaining session full of laughs!
Nicola created two beautifully slow-stitched patches, which she later turned into a charming cushion cover.
Her delicate stitching and attention to detail make this piece a truly treasured keepsake.
Thank you, Nicola, for your wonderful inspiration! ♥

Lauren ~ Shabby Chic Sundae
This month’s Craft & Chat was Lauren’s first time trying slow stitching, and she fell in love with the process!
She enjoyed it so much that she continued stitching throughout the day, creating a breathtaking slow stitched fabric journal cover that will be featured in an upcoming project.
Lauren also crafted an adorable fabric scrap garland adorned with sweet paper hearts and delicate embellishments.
She shared a step-by-step tutorial on her YouTube channel for anyone wanting to create their own.
Her creativity and enthusiasm shine through in both projects, and I’m so grateful for her beautiful contributions. Thank you, Lauren! ♥

She has shared a detailed video flip-through of her project here.
This gorgeous gift is destined for her mother-in-law, making it even more special.
To complete the presentation, Sandra also designed a beautifully decorated bag topper that slides on effortlessly, secured with an embellished clothespin.

Agnieszka embraced the Rosewood theme with an upcycling project, taking a gold frame and transforming it into a romantic 3D bouquet display.
She painted the frame pink and layered elements from the kit to create a breathtaking dimensional piece.
Feeling inspired, she went on to create a second framed project makeover, further showcasing the versatility of Rosewood’s floral and shabby aesthetic.
Her eye for detail and ability to turn ordinary objects into stunning decor is truly remarkable.
