How do you say ‘I love you’ on Valentine’s Day?
I know for some the day is filled with red roses, candlelit dinners and quite a lot of fanfare.
My hubby and I have had more than 30+ Valentine Days together… and while my man is a romantic at heart, we’ve never made a big fuss on the actual day.
We tend to share little romantic gestures on a regular basis… and that’s the way I like it.
Even after 30 years I still love finding notes hidden under my pillow, a special treat in with the shopping, flowers or a romantic gift for no reason.
Everyone likes a little romance in their life!
This week I designed this sweet shabby heart with a special message.
You can download the heart printable HERE.
Instructions:
I printed the design on matte photo paper and then adhered it to a piece of 3mm MDF with Mod Podge and a squeegee.
I cut the heart out with a scroll saw. If you don’t have a scroll saw you could adhere the design to heavy card or balsa wood and cut out with a sharp craft knife.
Lightly sand the edges of the heart. I chose to paint these edges with a soft pink acrylic paint.
When dry, drill a small hole in the top and thread with a ribbon hanger. I used a strip of white tulle.
I’m enjoying mine tucked amongst my cottage pretties, but it would make a pretty tag or a gift for a friend.
I love that it is small enough to tuck inside an envelope and post off to surprise someone you love!
[pin for later]
Happy crafting
♥

Thank you so much KerryAnne, this is so lovely. Will be nice to give my hubs. We try to let each other know how we feel on regular basis also. Means alot more to me. He’ll come up behind me when I’m on pc, for example, to hug me and give me kiss just cause. We’ve been married over 47yrs. Where has the time gone? Our daughter will be 46 this April. I Had 3 young kids when we married.
I’m going to look into your previous posts, especially the one on right with note paper, nest/eggs, bird and cut out flowers. Love how that looks.
To me is says romance. Thank you for keeping romance alive for us. I sure appreciate it. Happy weekend
