Hello Friends!
I’m Susan and I blog at
I repurpose old, outdated items and create
new, one of a kind treasures. I scour thrift stores
and garage sales to find cast-old offs I can paint or
completely tear apart. I rearrange the pieces
and create something new.
I’ve been an artisan all my life and at
I love sharing my creations with you.
Creating and thrifting go hand in hand in my world.
A while back I found a green boiled wool jacket
at the local thrift store.
The jacket was almost free so the price was right…
Since I’m not a boiled wool jacket kind of lady,
I got out my scissors and started cutting the jacket apart…
I cut enough triangles out of this jacket to fill a basket…
Cutting boiled wool is easy and it doesn’t ravel.
I sewed the triangles together around 2 sides
leaving the bottom open for stuffing.
a rusty bell at the top for a little junky bling….
Techniques for aging both can be found by clicking the links
back to my blog for instructions
.
The little boiled wool tree ornaments are perfect tied
to a package or hanging from the Christmas tree.
This basket full of boiled wool Christmas trees
is headed to my local craft fair.
This project turned out to be a great repurpose project
for little or no money!
Thanks so much for having me visit Kerryanne!
I would love for all your readers to follow me on
for all my latest repurposed projects and updates!

Thank you Susan for such a cute idea. What a lovely project and a super idea for using those woollens that have experienced that ‘oops’ moment in the laundry.
