Hi creative friends,
Welcome to Christmas in the Shabby Art Boutique craft room for 2021.
Although I decorated back in early October, I’ve only shared one wall of the craft room up until now.
So please come on in…..
This is the third year in a row that I’ve kept the same pink and aqua colour scheme… I actually still love it ♥
I did add in a few new baubles this year…
And of course I had to include my Christmas elves. I painted an elf canvas for above my IKEA Kallax shelf unit.
I also added in a new pink tree… isn’t she pretty!!
I’m usually a bit over the top with Christmas decorating and like my trees dripping in ornaments, but for this one I pared right back.
It’s home to my trio of Tilda reindeers and just a splattering of white and pink baubles… and it’s making my heart sing with joy ♥
For practicality, I’ve kept my sewing table neat and just added in a string of lights on top of my hutch.
Every year my reindeers pop up somewhere different and they always make me smile.
Generally I try to keep the decorating to the edges of the room, so that my worktable is uncluttered…. it gets messy enough when I am working on projects without having to contend with Christmas decorations as well.
I shared this ‘Sweet & Shabby’ Christmas garland with you back in October.
It’s hanging over my other IKEA Kallax unit on the rear wall.
Tip: I made sure that I placed my least used storage boxes in the top row of my unit, so I wouldn’t need to access them while I had my Christmas garlands up.
I have power points on every wall, which comes in handy for Christmas lights.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we kept the sparkly lights up all year round… what do you think?
Most of these images were taken just before dusk….. Christmas in the craft room looks quite lovey during the day, but it’s at night when it truly sparkles.
I’ll be sure to pop back and share a night time tour before Christmas.
PIN for later.
Happy crafting!
Hugs
♥

Oh it’s absolutely beautiful and that canvas is adorable.
Thanks Karen. The canvas was just a quick weekend project, but I think it was the lift that wall needed.
Merry Christmas x
Very beautiful your craft room!
We’re praying for Australia! Keep strong and faithful in the Lord!
Thanks so much Dorabella.
All is fine here sweetie, so nothing to worry about lovely.

Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much Loretta and a very Merry Christmas to you also x
You have created the magic of the season, your heart’s delight and a treat for those who visit here on your blog 💝 I love the addition of the pink tree, Kerryanne, and why wouldn’t I, as I have one the same ! And like you I didn’t overdo it with the decorating. Those pink branches need to be seen 💗 Enjoy the extra sparkle in your craft room, not that you need it to shine, my friend. Merry hugs to you xo
Thank you so much my sweet friend. ♥
Look at us with our pink trees this year. I’m totally loving mine and the simplicity of it…. such a nice change and a bit different to the rest of the house.
Don’t think I’ll ever get sick of sparkle in the craft room!
Merry Christmas and hugs to you xxx
Absolutely gorgeous xx I love the canvas, merry Christmas 🎄 ❤ xx
Sweetly shabby & gorgeous! You know me, still in Christmas denial! ;0) But we do actually have fairy lights up all year round … right around the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, as well as the two main bedrooms & my sewing room. Makes for lovely low-light ambiance even when Santa’s not around. :0D Thanks for sharing! Bear Hugs! KRIS xx
You’ve never changed in all the years I’ve known you my friend… and we wouldn’t have you any other way.
I’m a big fan of fairy lights all year round too. They show me in a better light – lol
Merry Christmas to you and Scott xxx
Two things make me salivate at Christmas time. See’s chocolate walnut fudge and your shabby chic craft room. Thanks for sharing.

What is the brand and color of the paint you used in your craft room? It’s so beautiful and calming.
Hi Sharon,
It is a fabulously calming colour. The paint brand is Dulux in half strength Seafoam. 🙂
I love your color scheme and your decor. I have the worst time getting garland to drape on my mantel. Can you share how you secure your garland please?
Hi Tara, I used clear coloured thumbtacks (5 I think) across the top of my unit and then wound a piece of the garland around each one. It holds really tight and secure too.
Merry Christmas,
Kerryanne
Where did you get the pattern for the reindeer? I love him!
Hi Suzanne,
The reindeer softies are a Tilda pattern from the book Homemade and Happy.
Happy crafting,
Kerryanne
Very pretty. Did you buy the cabinet that holds your supplies with the white pull out bins? If so, where?
