Hi creative friends,
The Christmas season has been busier than usual this year at Shabby Art Boutique, and I must admit, I’ve been remiss in showing you through my Christmas Craft Room.
But better late than never! Let me take you on a festive tour of this year’s setup, which has brought me so much joy and inspiration.
For me, Christmas officially starts on October 1st with the release of my first Christmas kit.
This year, it was the Sugar Coated Christmas kit, which set the tone for a season filled with candy-colored charm.
By November 1st, my 15th annual Simply Christmas event was in full swing, bringing weeks of handmade and home-baked holiday cheer to the crafting community.
Amid all the hustle and bustle, my craft room transformed into a cozy, magical retreat.
This year’s Christmas Craft Room is quite different from my usual pastel and pink palette.
I decided to go bold and mix in reds with my beloved pinks, and the result has been nothing short of delightful.
My pink Christmas tree took center stage, dressed in a whimsical gingerbread theme.
A few years ago, I had done a similar gingerbread theme, and it brought me so much happiness that I decided to revisit it with a fresh twist.
Every time I look at the tree, it makes me smile… a testament to the power of nostalgia and creativity.
Elsewhere in the room, I adorned my large garland and wreaths with a mix of red, pink, and white baubles, embracing my signature “dripping with ornaments” style.
I didn’t hold back, loading them up with ornaments, twinkling lights, peppermints and touches of whimsy.
The garland sparkles with strands of fairy lights, simple Christmas trees glow softly in the corners, and pink candles add a cozy warmth.
And of course, a few handmade Christmas pixies made their way into the decor… because what’s Christmas without pixies?
Initially, I wasn’t sure how I felt about incorporating red.
It took me a few days to adjust, but soon I fell in love with the way it popped against the pinks.
The boldness of the red brought a sense of energy and excitement to the space.
To balance things out, I kept one area of the room… the wall that stores my art supplies… in neutral tones.
It’s a soothing reprieve from the bolder colors and creates a harmonious flow.
Now that my Christmas crafting for 2024 is complete, I’ve turned my focus to designing new kits for 2025.
Yet, I’m still savoring the festive ambiance of the craft room.
There’s something magical about Christmas lights that makes the room feel so enchanting, especially in the evenings.
Whether I’m tidying up, planning future projects, or simply enjoying a quiet moment, the glow of the lights fills me with warmth and inspiration.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little tour of my Christmas Craft Room.
It’s a space that’s brought me so much happiness this season, and I’m delighted to share it with you.
Wishing you all a joyous and creative holiday season filled with love, laughter, and a sprinkle of shabbilicious magic!
Happy crafting,
Hugs

Thank you for the Craft Room tour. The decor is wonderful. I have recently decided that maybe I like pink after all so I think next year will be the year to decorate with pink and gingerbread. Decorating this year (as for the last several years) just didn’t happen. I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, KerryAnne!

Your craft room Christmas decor is beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh Kerryanne, your craft room is to beautiful to describe. Your talent never ceases to amaze me, but I have told you that many times, however it is still true. This year I did some voluntary work with some very special people and after spending nearly two months fussy cutting, the joy they got from your gingerbread babies was lovely to see. You and your family have a Happy and Holy Christmas and a Safe, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. You are one extraordinary lady. Hugs and Blessings, Rose.
