Hi creative friends,
This year, I made a conscious decision to pare back the Christmas decorating in my Craft Room, letting the enchanting Christmas Village project from my Craft Room membership take center stage on top of my storage unit.
I created the layered 3D village pieces in my spare time…. over a period of about a month.
And was delighted to finally put all the houses and shops together to form a village.
There are other smaller vignettes dotted around the room and lots of twinkling fairy lights, turning my craft space into a magical retreat.
Every year I get out my 20+ year old garland to hang over my storage unit. It’s looking a little worse for wear now, but once all the baubles are added, you wouldn’t even know.
The addition of twinkling fairy lights and lamps transform my Craft Room into a whimsical wonderland.
During the day, they add a subtle sparkle, creating a soft and inviting atmosphere.
But it’s during the night that these lights truly come alive, casting a warm and cozy glow that envelops the room. The effect is nothing short of enchanting.
This Christmas, I opted for a subtle yet charming touch with a tone-on-tone pink tree adorned with pink baubles of varying sizes.
The decision to forgo additional decorations allowed the Christmas Village to shine even brighter, creating a harmonious blend of simplicity and festive cheer.
I really love how the pink hues keep the space feminine and shabby…. making it uniquely mine.
As night falls, the twinkling lights create a serene ambiance that beckons me into the Craft Room.
The soft glow is not only visually appealing but also incredibly relaxing.
It has become a nightly ritual to spend time in this enchanting space, letting creativity flow as I work on various projects.
The twinkling lights provide the perfect backdrop for moments of inspiration and reflection.
In the spirit of simplicity, this year’s Christmas decor in my Craft Room at Shabby Art Boutique has proven that less is indeed more.
The twinkling fairy lights, paired with the elegant Christmas Village and the subtle charm of the pink tree, have transformed my creative space into a haven of tranquility.
Embracing the beauty of simplicity has allowed me to fully appreciate the magic of the season and find solace in the glow of twinkling lights as I immerse myself in the art of crafting.
I hope that you’ve been inspired by my shabbilicious Christmas in the Craft Room for 2023.

Happy crafting,

Everything is so pretty. Even the office chair is charming.
So lovely. I’m on week three of transitioning my fall decor to winter and had the harebrained idea after I was almost completely finished to try to find some winter decor I knew I had stored in a very large storage closet I have here in my apartment. So, now, I have all of these lovely vignettes trying their best to shine in total chaos again. I did find what I was seeking an should be able to get everything tucked back into that closet over the weekend. Note to self: Check closet first next year!
So beautiful and tranquil. I could spend all day in the craft room. I too, would like the Christmas Village to purchase.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESUS.

Hi Hedy,
The large spools were purchased a long time ago from Tilda and sadly, are no longer available.
Just so pretty.
