Hi creative friends,
As we wrap up the month of August and say goodbye to our Cherished Memories kit, I am delighted to share two final and truly beautiful projects from our design team members Lauren and Nicola.
Both have created flip throughs of their projects that capture the heart and soul of this nostalgic kit, and they are the perfect finale to a month filled with treasured creativity.
Lauren ~ Shabby Chic Sundae
Lauren has shared her video flip through of her stunning Cherished Memories mini journal, along with a tutorial on the binding method she used for this project.
She worked with the mini 3 ½” x 5” journal pages from the kit, pairing them with the Polaroids to form the journal’s pages.
Each spread has been lovingly adorned with snippets of vintage lace and clusters of fussy-cut roses and birds. The overall look is feminine, petite, and absolutely charming.
Inside, there are plenty of places to journal on the cards and tags, and the Polaroid tuck spots are perfect for slipping in your own photographs.
The cover is wrapped in pretty floral fabric, while the signatures are tied in with chiffon ribbon for a delightfully shabby finish.

Lauren’s second project this month is her memory card for the Cherished Memories kit.
Both Lauren and Nicola are making a swatch/card each month to record the kit of the month as a quick and easy reference.
You can watch Lauren construct her card [here].
Lauren has such a gift for combining delicate details with practical design, and her projects always shine with a uniquely feminine charm.

Nicola ~ Shabby Journals Crafts and More
Nicola has also shared her video flip through featuring two breathtaking projects.
The first is a vintage cushion cover, where she printed one of the engraving cards from Cherished Memories onto fabric and framed it with layers of lace.
The result is a truly elegant piece that captures the romantic nostalgia of the kit.
Her second project is a ladies writing journal with a layered cover of shabby papers, lace trims, and one of the engraving illustrations.
The journal holds two sewn-in signatures and is filled with both blank and lined writing pages, ready to be filled with thoughts and memories.
Throughout, Nicola has added lacy belly bands and fussy-cut tuck spots for photos, cards, and ephemera.
This journal is not only practical, but also a keepsake that would make a meaningful gift for someone special.

Nicola’s projects are always infused with grace and thoughtful detail, and this month’s creations are a perfect showcase of her romantic shabby style.
