Do you hear the Christmas bells ringing?
Christmas is just 57 days away. . . but for me, Christmas isn’t just a day. . . it’s a season.
The Christmas season has already started for me. I’m preparing for my Christmas market dates and my studio has become a sea of reds and greens, pretty glittery things and some old familiar friends. . . Santa’s in all shapes and sizes, whole herds of reindeers, penguins aplenty and even a few angels, snowmen and gingers thrown into the mix. You can’t help but feel happy when you are surrounded by such merriment.
I have to admit to feeling a little un-nerved though, when I turn around in my chair to find these guys watching me. This Santa stands a little over 120 cm tall. . . I made him for my market stall. If you are coming to the Foreshore Artist market, look out for this guy. . . he’ll be hanging around at the entrance to my marquee.

I think Santa is my favourite Christmas character but not just any old Santa…you know when you see the ‘right’ Santa (don’t you find that there are some yucky ones out in the shops)…I love your Santa as he has that perfect ‘look’ about him.

Your Santa is adorable Kerry – I would be skipping to the Xmas beat every time I saw him if he was keeping me company in my studio! But yes – quite a shock if you forget he’s there!!!! LOVE the photos of your Xmas goodies – I’m getting SO excited!!!! Also – adored the mirror you repurposed (last post) – what a super friend to spot such a find for you!
