As an artist, my home is naturally filled with a revolving door of art.
Not all my own… I do like to buy art by other artists too, but I have to admit that it changes and gets moved around a lot!
I do try to keep a lot of it contained in my studio, but it spills out often… filling every room of my home.
Art speaks to my heart and soul and I want to have it all around me…. paintings, sketches, sculptures, photography, handmade crafty pieces and even my graphic work is all art to me.
Do you have a favourite piece of art in your home?
My own art is not valuable or even collectible to others… but to me it is priceless. It’s truly a piece of my own heart and whether it be a small sketch this week or a large scale painting next week, each and every piece means something at that point in time.
This week at bHome we’ve been discussing Art at Home and in particular this beautiful piece titled ‘Bridge Near the Bodiam Castle’ from Cynthia Weber’s private collection.
Here’s the exciting news… you have the chance to win this original artwork!

Cynthia has donated from her private collection this beautiful original painting titled Bridge Near the Bodiam Castle by renown artist Peter Etril Snyder!
Valued at $700.00 CAD the 9” x 13” piece will be shipped to the lucky winner unframed.
Here are the artists notes on this beautiful piece: "Over four months in Kent in 1998 made me very conscious of all the red brick building in the southeast area of England. This small bridge is a Victorian structure located near Bodiam Castle. It presents a new and colourful contrast to the soft gray/beige of the ancient stone castle. Here in North America it is difficult to think of a building that has survived for one hundred and fifty years as new, but in a land that displays items from Roman times, this bridge is gleamingly new."

I love Pinterest for the same reason as your App. You can pin beautiful drawings to look at later. It’s very inspiring. I do calligraphy also and I love your “I love you”. I also love the crochet Irish Roses I make. I will soon try ribbon embroidery as I just received my kit from Di Van Niekerk-a very talented artist in her own right. I just received my Rapid-O-Graph pen set so I can set about sketching. I almost wish I had a smart phone so I could download your app to it but I’m not able to take the plunge. I’m in the U.S.A so wouldn’t enter to win anyway but I wanted to say thanks for sharing and inspiring others.
