Hi there ‘shabbilicious’ friends,
Have you joined in with our ‘A Year of Vintage Postcards’ project?
If you are new to this year long project, we are creating a collection of vintage postcards.
Every month I will be providing two vintage postcard printables to add to your collection. Each postcard measures 9 cm x 14 cm (3.5” x 5.5”) and has both a front and back image.
For my own project, I’m creating a flip book filled with these gorgeous vintage postcards from the 1800’s. The back of the postcards have a blank space that can be used to document events, information or simply to diarize your journey each month…… so essentially it’s a flip journal.
May Vintage Postcard Printables
As many countries celebrate Mother’s Day in May, I’ve chosen a beautiful card depicting a mother and her children at the clothesline for the first postcard.
The artwork titled ‘Helping Mother’ was painted by Helen Jackson and released on postcards in 1903.
The second postcard is a beautiful rose composition by artist Catherine Klein, first released in France in 1902.
I’ve also created an additional journal tag to use this month, that also contains a pretty Catherine Klein rose painting.

Aww… that’s so nice Marilyn. It makes me happy to know that people are actually using them and I hope others enjoy receiving these little gems from the past too. 🙂

KerryAnne, I look forward to each of your vintage postcards. They are so pretty and I think, like you, I might use them to make a flip Journal for this year……..It would certainly brighten what we’ve all been dealing with. Thank you.

Thanks so much Sue. I’ve been a journaler for a long time and even just jotting down the most basic points for the month will be a fun reminder when you look back at a later date. I hope you enjoy making a flip tag too 🙂
