Hello creative friends,
Are you following along with our yearlong project… A Year of Positivity?
If so, I’d love to know how you are using them.
Do you craft with them or maybe send them to friends and family?
I’m excited to share July’s postcards and envelope with you today.
The Positivity project is presented each month as a two page printable PDF file, containing two, 9 cm x 14 cm postcards and one matching envelope.
Each of the cards will contain a positive and inspirational quote and will be designed using a combination of vintage graphics, mixed media and original watercolour artwork…. making then completely unique and one-of-a-kind.
Best of all…. this year long project is completely FREE for you to download and use!
(please see terms of use guidelines at bottom of this post).
July Positivity Cards
I used a Victorian favourite for the postcards this month…. beautiful violets.
They were a popular favourite long before the Victorian era, but they are known to be one of Queen Victoria’s favourite flowers. Victorians regarded violets as a symbol for modesty and fidelity, due to the plant’s habit of holding its flowers in a low, nodding, deferential manner. They were used widely for medicinal purposes, toiletries and perfumes and were frequently featured in Victorian postcards and advertising.
The sentiments this month are beautiful gentle and positive reminders…. ‘Collect Moments’ and ‘We rise by lifting others’.
These cards measure 9 cm x 14 cm (3.5” x 5.5”), so are a perfect size to be used in many ways.
How to use the positivity cards:
- Add some pretty ribbon and use as a gift tag
- post them to a friend as ‘happy mail’
- use them as journal cards in a junk journal
- use them in a yearly planner or art journal.

I use them to send to a granddaughter, who has a very low selfestime and having problems always feeling depressed and down, and never feel, she´s okay , so it seems to help her to get a real card in the mail now and then, and then these are really good, so she doesn´t feel, it´s just something we keep saying, when she feels down.
Awww… Maryann, what a beautiful and positive way to use the notecards. I’m so pleased that you are able to use them for you granddaughter and that she enjoys receiving them too. Just knowing that even one person is lifted up by the positivity cards makes this whole project worthwhile. Sending blessings for you sweet granddaughter x
Thanks hun, she has really been through a tough time and just to see here lovely smile, when she´s got one of these are amazing, and I know, she feels lifted, when she´s got one, as her mum tells me, she always come and show it then with a smile on her face, and that´s also why I do this every month. I really don´t think, is very easy to be young today, and that´s why we see sooo many depressed young ones these days, which is terrible in my book, as they should be out enjoying life and having fun and learn what they´re good at without aklll these enormous high expectations they meet theae dYS.
Beautiful artwork. Thank you so much for providing your folloers with such a nice, inspirational way to help cheer others. I have friends who are chronically ill or in assisted living homes, and I print these cards and send them. You are a true child of God!

Thank you very much Kerryanne! I’m going to use all of them in a “Inspiration Journal”. I’m not sure but I’m thinking about creating four journals with three months each from January to December. xoxo, Ana.
