Do you ever sit down to write a blog post with an idea in your head. . . but no matter how many times you write and re-write it . . . it just isn’t right?
Somehow it just sounds corny. . . or over the top. . . or even worse, self indulgent.
That’s where I’m at today.
I’ve been tapping away at the keyboard for ages trying to convey to you the warm fuzzies I’m feeling. . . mixed with an adrenaline rush and an occasional pesky heart palpitation.
There doesn’t seem to be an eloquent way to express my enthusiasm and anticipation. . . so I’m just going to put it out there.
Please excuse me while I blurt it all out. . . raw and honest.
The cause of my gushing is the next issue of the Simply Shabbilicious magazine, which is due out in February.
I tentatively dipped my toe in the water with the Simply Christmas issue. . . not expecting or daring to anticipate much of a reaction.
Of course I hoped that a few people would read it. . .
honestly, I would have been stoked if maybe a hundred or so people clicked on the link.
But OMG, you guys have blown me away with your response – 10,400+ views and still growing every day. Not only did you read it, but you have asked for more and now I have a subscription list that is bulging like an old ladies cankles!
So from the bottom of my heart. . .Thank you!
I’m thrilled to now be putting my creative energies into the Simply Shabbilicious e-zine. I want it to be a place for inspiration and beauty. . .
A place where we can share our love of all things shabby and vintage. . .
A place to feature talented bloggers and their beautiful homes. . .
fabulous DIY and crafting projects and LOADS of gorgeous shabbilicious images.
Above all. . . Simply Shabbilicious is a free e-zine for all of us who embrace the shabby look. . . whether it be all white, vintage, romantic, farmhouse or French inspired.
So I’m putting the call out to all my shabbilicious friends. . . would you like to be featured in Simply Shabbilicious e-zine?
Perhaps you’d like to be a contributor.
I’m currently compiling a list of potential bloggers and homes to feature. . . as well as nicely written articles, tutorials, recipes, tips and hints and beautiful shabby images. Naturally, full credit and link backs will be provided and there is no charge for inclusion in the e-zine.
There’s also an opportunity for advertisers to connect with their target market for a small fee.
So there you go. . . if you think this is for you, I welcome your submissions and/or suggestions for consideration at kerryanne (at) woodberrydesigns.com.au
Shabbilicious hugs,

Sometimes we have to just go for it. I too felt a little weird putting it all out there. But I have met such wonderful people and have grown so much as a creator. I am doing it again… all over too… My motto…. just go for it!
Okay, one of my New Years resolutions is taking the time to leave more notes for my blogging friends! I always read posts in a reader and it makes it hard to leave a comment or two. But I do not miss a post! Love seeing the things you share and your lovely home. I wish I had more time to blog, but I work part time at our local library. I wanted to share with you my new blog, just opened this week…. http://www.brookekroeger.blogspot.com…. it will be for my vingage and digital work… including printables you might enjoy. I also have my home and garden site, http://www.creativecountrymom.blogspot.com. This week I am doing a look back to my spring garden.
Hope to be able to connect more in this new year. I am spending less time on Facebook and gave up twitter and everything else. A girl needs time to create, decorate and GARDEN ya know!
God bless….Brooke
