Hi creative friends,
It’s not just little girls who love a pretty dolls house… big girls love then too!
I’m delighted with how everyone has embraced the February Handmade Club kit, The Vintage Doll House…. it was singing to my heart when I was painting it and now it is bringing great delight to yours.
The Design Team are busy creating projects with the kit and it always amazes me how diverse the projects can be using the same items.

Nicola ~ My Shabby Craft Corner
Nicola has created several beautiful projects with the kit papers and elements that fit with her love of vintage lace and linen.
First, there’s her doll house album…. it’s so creative and gorgeous.
Nicola has shared several ‘craft with me’ videos, so that you can watch her creating this beauty.

Nicola responded to many requests in our Simply Shabbilicious FB group for a tutorial on how to make the dollhouse album cover.

Nicola attached the sweetest little flip tag to the front cover of her doll house album, which she made using the fussy-cuts from the kit.

Lena Loveka
Lena uses a beautiful decoupage technique to make her amazing projects each month.
For The Vintage Doll House collection, she has created these beautiful wood picture frames and wooden blocks using papers from the kit and individual graphic elements.
After decoupaging the papers to the frame, Lena distresses and flyspecks them for an aged look.
If you are wondering how to flyspeck, this is how I do it:
For this technique I use an old toothbrush. Dip the brush into water and flick the bristles with your thumb to remove surplus water. Then dip the toothbrush into paint and rotate the brush on your palette to work up the paint on the bristles. Run either your thumb or the end of a paintbrush over the bristles of the toothbrush to splatter the paint lightly over your project – practice on a scrap piece of paper before lightly flyspecking your project.
You can connect with Lena and see her fabulous decoupage projects on Instagram.
Thanks Lena ♥
Genevieve ~ Bella Stitchery
Genevieve has created two of the cutest baby themed scrapbook pages using the fussy cuts this month.
For the baby girl layout she embellished the clothes with buttons, pearls, lace, and flowers and then hung them up with twine and tiny clothes pins.
Isn’t this teddy bear and vintage toys layout just the cutest!!
You can connect with Genevieve on her Instagram and YouTube accounts.
Thanks Genevieve ♥
Linda ~ Chuckles n Charm
Linda hopes to inspire you with her collection of beautiful handmade cards for a new baby or young child.
She has used the coordinating papers for the backgrounds and decorated the cards with layered elements from the Vintage Doll House kit.
Linda has also created a box to store the cards in…. and this would made this project perfect for gift giving.
