Hello creative friends,
If you’ve been following my club for awhile, you would have noticed that my monthly kits are always based around a theme and usually a story.
This month’s kit, Granny’s Pantry is a real life story and one that comes straight from my heart.
A vintage trade card for a wood fired stove was the catalyst for this theme and had my family reminiscing about my granny still cooking on a wood fired stove in the 70’s… for no other reason, than it came with the farmhouse.
Then we moved on to her fabulous butlers pantry, which was like a produce storeroom.
My grandparents had always lived off the land, so that room housed everything they grew. There were shelves filled with pickles, chutneys and jams…. onions hanging up, baskets of eggs and vast quantities of home grown fruit and vegetables.
As a little girl I thought that kitchen was magical… picking the fruit and veg, collecting eggs and even cooking my toast in front of the open door of the wood fired stove.
My heart swells with happiness when I think of those amazing days spent with my granny and pop…. and I poured the love and memories into this kit for you.
It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realised that their life had indeed been very simple and living miles from a local town, my granny had to make do with what she had on hand.
In those days, patchwork wasn’t a hobby, but a necessity. Nothing matched in her home, but the kaleidoscope of crockery and miss matched cushions all jelled together to create what we’d consider today, to be a fabulous shabby chic cottage home.
Granny’s Pantry Kit
Granny’s Pantry is filled with an abundance of cottage gorgeousness that embraces the time worn style of slightly distressed objects, home grown and homemade.
What’s in the kit:
There are 60+ graphic elements supplied as PNG (transparent backgrounds) and jpegs images.
They are provided for you as both a printable PDF fussy cut file and as individual elements in a zip file for you to create your own printable combinations.
My Granny’s patched and darned offerings were the inspiration for my printable papers; recipe cards, shopping lists, menu planner and matching tags, pockets and tabs for journal or card making.
Coordinating Paper Pack
My Granny’s Pantry kit comes with 20 paper designs… both decorative and plain pages for journal making, mixed media and general crafting.
They are all available in three sizes; 5″ x 7″ (for journals), A4 and letter size and are contained in zip files.
I have also created four individual printable PDF files for the different sized papers.
This week I’ll be sharing some of the projects I’ve made using the Granny’s Pantry kit and will as always, share the print files with the club members.
The Design Team girls are already working on projects too, so I can’t wait to share those with you as well.
