Hello creative friends,
These fabulous little favour boxes are so super cute and an absolute snap to make.
Literally….. print, cut-out, score and glue!
You know it couldn’t be easier and the best part… you can decorate them anyway you like.
How to Make Teatime Favour Boxes
Size: 5” high x 4” wide x 3” deep (13 cm x 10 cm x 8cm).
Difficulty: super easy – good project for children.
Time to make: 10 minutes.
‘Print and Make’ printable in the fussy cut file from the Teatime Friends kit – Handmade Club January 2021.
Plus any extra printables you may want to use to decorate with from the kit.
Craft knife and/or scissors to cut out shapes.
Bone folder to score folds.
Any embellishments you may want to use.
1. Print the favour box from page 18 of the Fussy Cut PDF file for the Teatime Friends on matte photo cardstock weight paper. I also printed the back of the page with a colour paper from the kit.
The design already has a teacup and roses image incorporated on the front of the favour box, however, you may wish to decorate over the top of it with fussy cuts and embellishments.
2. Score the 6 grey lines already placed on the favour box, which form the sides and the base. Fold the sides into position.
3. Apply white glue to the front side flaps and close over the top of the rear flaps. Secure with a paper or bulldog clip while the glue dries.
4. I chose to decorate the favour box by wrapping a pink ribbon around the box and adding a fussy cut teapot and roses. I used foam tape on the back of the teapot to add dimension and lift it out from the box.
That’s it…. your teatime favour box is assembled.
My favour box contains a tag for a friend, an individually wrapped, large choc chip cookie and two Twinings teas.
Wouldn’t these favour boxes be perfect for an afternoon tea with friends or a crafty get-together!!
What would you put in the favour box?
I thought perhaps craft supplies like a lace or ribbon board and a fat quarter of fabric etc for a sewing friend….
Maybe a muffin and a coffee gift card for a work friend or just simply filled with sweets or chocolates as a thank you gift.
