Hello creative friends,
Many of you have told me how much you enjoyed both the Valentine pocket tag project and the recent Teatime friends favour box project, so I decided to combined both of these projects to offer you a new free ‘print and make’ Victorian style project….. it’s a Valentine favour box and sweet cherub tags.
I think the soft aqua and pink colour palette offers a nice change from the brighter and more traditional colours for Valentines Day…. and it is perfect for us lovers of all things vintage and shabby.
I’ve slipped some fresh Iceberg roses into my favour box, but you could fill it with any number of sweet treats or small gifts.
How pretty would this little posy be hanging from a door knob or dresser handle!
You could even wrap it in clear collophane, tie on one of the sweet cherub tags and gift to your Galantines.
I’m putting this one next to my office desk for a few days.

How to make the Valentine favour box
These little favour boxes are so quick and easy to make.
I fussy cut the cherubs and adhered one cherub to the back of the favour box and the kneeling cherub to the front of the box. The little kneeling cherub sits out from the box on a piece of foam tape. I also cut an extra set of wings to attach for more dimension. You can probably see in the image above that I left a small strip of skin colour between the wings, which I applied a dot of white glue to and then adhered them over the top of the original wings.
I’ve provided a step-by-step photographic tutorial HERE for making favour boxes.
I also added in these cute matching Victorian style cherub tags for you to use with this project or other vintage or paper craft projects.

What will you put inside your Valentine favour box?
