Shabbilicious French Sign Printables

Aqua and pink are such a charming cottage colour combination, so they were the obvious choice when I designed two new French signs.

They match my GreenGate perfectly… and that makes me very happy!

I want you to be happy too…

So I’m sharing my French signs as a free printable. I hope you like them!

Both 10 cm x 15 cm (4” x 6”) signs are on the one A4 printout.

I print my signs on 100gram matt photo paper. It’s lightweight and perfect for adhering to wood or cardboard.

I cut two pieces of MDF to size, but you could also use balsa wood, which can be cut with a sharp utility knife. Heavy cardboard is also suitable.

Before I adhered the printed signs, I painted the back and sides of the sign with white paint.

When the paint is thoroughly dry, adhere you sign by applying Mod Podge to both the wood piece and the back of the printed sign. We do that, so you can easily maneuver the paper sign into position. I like to use a squeegee or old credit card to gently smooth out the paper and remove any lumps or excess glue.

When your sign has dried you can either add a wire hanger by drilling a couple of small holes in the top or leave without a hanger.

These signs are the perfect size to tuck into a cottage or shabby vignette.

They also make great gifts… and we all know you can’t beat ‘handmade with love’ gifts!

Happy crafting

You are most welcome Marilyn. I sometimes also use a strip of tulle as the hanger. When tied at the top with a bow it looks very pretty and feminine.

What loveliness you have gifted us with, the signs are so gorgeous. You are so generous and sweet Kerryanne to share these signs with us.
Will need to find perfect backing for them. Think will make set for daughter also, she wanted to go to France when she got out of high school but we didn’t have funds to make that possible for her.
Our grand-daughter is traveling in her stead. She has been going to college on scholarship at Divinity college close to San Rafael, CA and is going to be an Au Pair in northern Italy this summer. Before she leaves Europe she’ll be going to Copenhagen with her au pair family then back to college. She’ll also be taking quick weekend in Greece while in Italy.. Thankfully besides working at her college her parents are able to do more for her. What an experience for 19 yr. old but she certainly deserves it, had straight a’s all thru school.
    Have wonderful weekend, happy daze
