Welcome
Thank you for your interest in becoming part of the Shabby Art Boutique Design Team.
I’m Kerryanne, the artist and designer behind Shabby Art Boutique, where I create original, hand-painted artwork and digital paper collections inspired by vintage treasures, shabby charm, cottage living and the beauty of days gone by.
My Design Team is a small group of talented, like-minded creatives who share my love of beautiful paper crafts and enjoy inspiring others through their creativity.
Each month, my team brings my artwork to life through handmade projects, sharing fresh ideas, creative techniques and beautiful inspiration with our crafting community.
I believe the best creative partnerships are built on mutual respect, genuine enthusiasm and a shared appreciation for one another’s work.
About the Design Team
The Shabby Art Boutique Design Team is an established group of paper crafters who create inspirational projects using my original digital collections.
Each month, members receive early access to the latest collection from The Craft Room, my private monthly membership, along with access to my growing range of digital collections in the Boutique store.
These collections feature coordinating papers, illustrations, fussy-cut elements and printable ephemera designed for a wide variety of paper crafting projects.
Design Team members have the creative freedom to interpret each collection in their own style, whether that’s through journals, dimensional paper crafts, home décor, altered art, cards, keepsakes or something wonderfully unexpected.
While I love seeing different creative interpretations, the heart of every Design Team project should be the Shabby Art Boutique artwork.
The aim is to inspire others by showcasing the possibilities within each collection.
What I’m Looking For
I’m looking for creative individuals who:
- Have a genuine appreciation for the Shabby Art Boutique aesthetic and style.
- Enjoy working with digital papers, printable ephemera and original illustrations.
- Create thoughtful, beautifully finished projects that inspire others.
- Have an established presence on social media, a blog or YouTube where they regularly share their creative work.
- Take clear, attractive photographs of their completed projects.
- Are comfortable sharing their projects and acknowledging the collections used.
- Are reliable, communicate openly and enjoy being part of a supportive creative team.
A large social media following isn’t essential. I’m far more interested in creativity, presentation, reliability and a genuine connection with my artwork.
Design Team Commitments
I understand that creativity takes time and that everyone has family, work and personal commitments.
My aim is to maintain a happy, supportive team where members enjoy creating without unnecessary pressure.
I ask each Design Team member to:
Create One Completed Project Each Month
Using the current month’s Craft Room collection, create at least one thoughtfully designed project that showcases the papers and/or printable elements as a central feature.
Projects should demonstrate creative ways to use the collection and provide inspiration for fellow crafters.
Additional projects using Boutique store collections are always welcome, but are not part of the standard monthly commitment.
Share Quality Photographs
Provide clear, well-lit photographs showing the completed project and its important details, suitable for featuring on the Shabby Art Boutique blog, newsletter, Pinterest and social media.
Photographs should be uploaded to our private Design Team Facebook group, where I can access them for promotional features.
Share Your Projects With Your Audience
Publish your completed projects on your relevant creative platforms, acknowledging Shabby Art Boutique and linking to the appropriate collection or website information.
When using collections from my Boutique store, please include a direct link to the collection so interested crafters can easily find it.
Participate in the Craft Room Community
As a Design Team member, you’ll receive complimentary access to The Craft Room membership, including its private Facebook community.
I encourage Design Team members to be active in the Craft Room Facebook group, sharing their projects, offering encouragement and engaging with members when possible. You are also welcome to share your projects (and links to YouTube) on my Shabby Art Boutique Facebook group, Simply Shabbilicious.
Your creativity and friendly presence help make the Craft Room a welcoming and inspiring place for everyone.
Communicate and Meet Agreed Deadlines
Projects are featured throughout the month, so timely communication helps me coordinate our Design Team features.
If you’re having difficulty with a collection, experiencing a creative block or unable to complete your project, I would much rather you let me know.
Respect the Artwork and Creative Use Policy
All Shabby Art Boutique artwork remains my intellectual property and is provided for the agreed Design Team activities.
Collections must not be redistributed, shared, resold or used outside the permitted creative terms.
A Little Flexibility Goes a Long Way
I understand that life doesn’t always go according to plan!
Holidays, family commitments, health concerns and other responsibilities sometimes mean taking a break from crafting… and that’s okay. Just let me know and we can work around that.
Some team members also enjoy sharing additional projects, tutorials or videos, and these are always warmly appreciated, but not expected… one quality project per active month is the standard commitment.
What You’ll Receive
As a Shabby Art Boutique Design Team member, you’ll enjoy:
Complimentary Craft Room Membership and Early Access
You’ll receive complimentary access to The Craft Room membership, including the monthly digital collections, creative resources and private Facebook community.
Design Team members receive each new monthly collection one week before its official release to Craft Room members.
This gives you an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the collection, plan your project and begin creating ahead of the monthly launch.
Access to Boutique Store Collections
In addition to the monthly Craft Room collections, Design Team members receive complimentary access to every new digital collection released in my Boutique store.
You’re also welcome to request access to any existing Boutique store collection whenever you’d like to use it in a creative project.
This provides a wonderful opportunity to explore different themes, revisit favourite collections and combine elements in imaginative ways.
Projects using Boutique store collections are always appreciated, and when sharing these projects online, I ask that you include a link to the relevant collection in the Boutique store.
Creative Freedom
You’ll have the opportunity to interpret each collection in your own creative style, explore new techniques and bring your own ideas to life.
I love seeing the different ways designers approach the same artwork, and I encourage projects that reflect your individual creativity while keeping the collection at the heart of the design.
Promotion and Recognition
Your Design Team projects will be featured and promoted across the Shabby Art Boutique platforms, including:
- The Shabby Art Boutique blog
- My weekly newsletter
Where appropriate, I’ll include links to your creative website, blog, YouTube channel or social media accounts so readers can discover more of your work.
I value the time and creativity that goes into each project and enjoy sharing the talented people behind the inspiration.
A Private Design Team Community
You’ll be invited to join our private Design Team Facebook group.
This is our central place for communicating, sharing ideas and coordinating projects.
We use the group to discuss what we’re planning to make each month, helping to avoid duplication and ensuring we offer a lovely variety of inspiration.
It’s also where Design Team members upload their completed project photographs for me to use in blog features, newsletters and promotional posts.
The group provides a friendly space to ask questions, share ideas and keep everyone informed about what’s happening.
Boutique Store Affiliate Opportunity
Design Team members also have the opportunity to participate in my Boutique store affiliate program, earning a 10% commission on eligible purchases made through their personal affiliate link or code.
Participation in the affiliate program is optional and separate from the monthly creative commitment.
A Supportive Creative Community
Above all, you’ll be part of a friendly, established team of talented paper crafters who enjoy sharing inspiration and encouraging one another.
Other Design Team Commitments
I understand that many talented crafters enjoy designing for more than one creative business.
Being part of another Design Team doesn’t automatically prevent you from joining Shabby Art Boutique.
I simply ask that you consider whether you have the time to meet your monthly commitment and that there are no conflicting agreements with other brands.
Projects created for Shabby Art Boutique should be presented as Shabby Art Boutique Design Team projects, with my artwork as the main focus (and not mixed with items from competing digital artists). I do request that my team use die cuts sparingly as not all crafters have access to these.
Joining the Team
Rather than holding public Design Team calls, I prefer to build my team through personal invitations to creatives whose work I genuinely admire.
This allows me to maintain a small, cohesive group of designers whose styles complement my artwork while bringing their own unique creativity to the team.
New members are initially welcomed for a three-month introductory period, giving us both an opportunity to see whether the creative partnership is a good fit.
At the end of this period, we can discuss continuing as an ongoing member of the Design Team.
A Final Note
Above all, I want being part of the Shabby Art Boutique Design Team to be an enjoyable and rewarding creative experience.
I value kindness, creativity, open communication and the friendships that develop through a shared love of crafting.
My hope is to work with designers who genuinely enjoy my artwork, take pride in their projects and feel excited to share their creativity with others.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy being part of, I’d love to hear from you.
With warmest wishes,
Kerryanne ♥
