Hi creative friends,
Our talented Design Team has been working their magic with the enchanting new July Craft Room kit, Mr Whimble’s Toy Shoppe, and I’m so excited to share their beautiful creations with you today.
Let’s take a look at what they’ve been making!
Lauren ~ Shabby Chic Sundae
For her first project with Mr Whimble’s Toy Shoppe, Lauren created the most deliciously vintage mini flip-any-way album using just two simple materials: CD sleeves and glue!
Once the base was built, she decorated it with fussy-cut toys from the kit, plus scrap fabrics, trims, and laces… and it truly turned into a dreamy lace confection.
She even included an extra tutorial in her YouTube video for making scrappy glassine bags out of wax paper and melted candle wax… perfect for holding tags and ephemera pieces.
Lauren, this project is absolutely beautiful and so inspiring.
Your use of lace and layering is so uniquely shabby and creative… it really makes me want to dig into my scrap bin and play!
Thank you for showing us how easy and fun it can be. ♥

Nicola & Lauren Facebook Live – Making Shabby Banners
This month, Nicola and Lauren teamed up for another super fun Facebook Live in our Craft Room group.
I absolutely love these sessions… there’s always so much interaction, laughter, and cheeky chatter with members.
One of my favourite things about these Lives is watching them create in split-screen.
Even though they use the same fussy cuts and papers, they never know what the other is making, so we get to see two beautifully different takes on the same project. Always inspiring, and always so much fun!
Nicola ~ Shabby Journals Crafts & More
For her shabby banner, Nicola chose a gorgeous neutral colour palette with just a whisper of pink, giving it such a soft, vintage vibe.
She strung her banner pieces on beautiful vintage lace, layering old doilies with toys from Mr Whimble’s Toy Shoppe.
The extra-large pom-pom trim edging on some of the banners added such a playful and whimsical touch!
Nicola, thank you so much for your time and creativity in co-hosting the Facebook Live!
Your beautiful neutral banner is such an inspiring way to show members how versatile this kit can be.
We’re so lucky to have your ideas and your kindness in our community. ♥

Lauren ~ Shabby Chic Sundae
For her shabby banner, Lauren layered paper banners with overlapping toy fussy cuts, popped up on foam tape for dimension.
She finished it off with tons of lace snippets for a wonderfully scrappy, layered look that is pure shabbiliciousness!
Lauren, thank you for your time, your creativity, and your infectious enthusiasm in the Facebook Live. ♥
Your shabby banner was stunning and such a perfect example of your layered shabby style.

Sandra ~ Atelier Vintage Rose
Sandra brought Mr Whimble’s Toy Shoppe to life with two adorable birthday explosion boxes.
The first was a pink and neutral dollhouse-themed box for a little girl, so sweet and delicate.
The second was themed around Mr Whimble’s Toy Shoppe itself, in more masculine colours with toy planes, cars, and classic vintage charm… just perfect for little boys.
Sandra, thank you for sharing these absolutely magical and creative projects. ♥
Your attention to detail and your gift for storytelling in your paper crafts never cease to amaze me.

Pipe Cleaner Bears Tutorial
In Sandra’s recent suitcase box projects she included the sweetest little pipe cleaner bears, and this week she showed us how to make these little cuties.
