Hi creative friends,
This week I’m delighted to be sharing two wonderfully imaginative Design Team features, both created using our January Craft Room kit, Hedgerow Hollow.
Caroline and Lauren have each brought this whimsical hedgerow world to life in their own unique way, with projects that are rich in detail, storytelling, and heart.

Caroline ~ Carolee Crafts
Caroline has shared two beautiful projects that invite us straight into the storybook world beneath the hedgerow.
Her first project is a clever flip-flop folio inspired by Hedley’s Bookstore, measuring 8.25″ x 7.75″.
Inside are 11 seamless pockets holding 18 journaling cards and 4 large tags/bookmarks, making this folio as practical as it is charming.

One of my favourite details is the hidden centre pocket, which holds a mini journal and is tucked away behind a sweet button and string closure.
It truly feels like opening a secret little world… a gentle visit to the folk who live quietly beneath the hedgerow.
The best way to appreciate all the thoughtful details is to watch Caroline’s short YouTube video .
Caroline’s second project is a delightful upcycle, transforming a mini caramel truffle box into a tiny hidden treasure.
The outside is beautifully decorated with papers from the kit, but when the lid is lifted, you’ll find a miniature 3D diorama of Seraphina’s Thimble Nook Cottage, complete with a dormouse, the hedgie family, and Mr & Mrs Squirrel.

The tiny garden details are just adorable and perfectly capture the whimsy of Hedgerow Hollow.
You can take a closer look inside this little gem in Caroline’s YouTube video .
I absolutely love how Caroline embraces upcycled crafting, turning everyday packaging into something magical and story-filled… it’s such a wonderful reminder of how creativity can transform even the smallest things.

Lauren ~ Shabby Chic Sundae
Lauren (alongside her dad, affectionately known as Mr Shabby) has once again amazed us with her extraordinary attention to detail and her beautiful way of storytelling through craft.
Their first project is a stunning dollhouse replication of Hedley’s Lanternleaf Bookstore, standing an impressive 17 inches tall.
This piece is breathtaking both inside and out.

The ground floor houses Hedley’s bookshop, complete with cosy reading areas, a shop counter, shelves filled with books, and not one… but six lantern light sconces that bring the whole space to life.
Upstairs is a special storage space for Hedley’s journal, created using the papers and fussy cuts from the Hedgerow Hollow kit.

The journal measures 3 1/2″ x 5″ and is filled with pockets and tuck spots, each holding sweet embellishments that continue Hedley’s story so beautifully.
Lauren’s third project is a delicate, hand-stitched feminine journal, also 3 1/2″ x 5″, featuring Seraphina, the head seamstress and owner of Thimble Nook Cottage.

This journal has a wonderfully shabby, cottage-style feel.
The cover is made using fabrics printed with the kit papers, which Lauren has then slow-stitched by hand.
Inside, you’ll find layers of gorgeous vintage lace and fussy-cut hedgerow folk, all coming together to create something truly heartfelt.
The best way to see all of this gorgeousness is to watch Lauren’s flip through video on her YouTube channel.
Lauren has such an incredible eye for intricate detail, and the way she tells the story of each character through fabric, stitching, and paper is simply magical.
Every piece feels thoughtful, intentional, and full of soul.

A Note for Our New Followers
With so many new faces joining us over the past couple of months, I wanted to share a little note about this collection.
Hedgerow Hollow is a Craft Room exclusive kit, which means it isn’t currently available for individual purchase.
The good news is that The Craft Room will be opening its doors to new subscribers in May.
If this gentle, story-filled style of crafting speaks to you, you’re very welcome to add your name to the waitlist, where you’ll be notified as soon as enrolments open.
Thank you so much for being here and for supporting our beautiful creative community
Happy crafting,
Hugs
