Hi creative friends,
Let me start today’s post by expressing my gratitude to everyone for such positive feedback on the new May kit, Belle ~ Vintage French Rose.
I’m so glad that these romantic pretties make your heart sing too ♥
I’ve been having so much fun creating with the French theme this past week and I look forward to sharing some new YouTube tutorials and projects with you next week.
The Design Team ladies have already been busy crafting with this new kit , so today I’m sharing all the gorgeousness that has come out of Nicola’s beautiful crafting corner this week
Nicola ~ My Shabby Craft Corner
Nicola is a prolific crafter and she’s already completed five beautiful shabby projects.
A Beautiful French Journal
I’m sure you can tell already from the lacey confection of this front cover that this journal is something special.
How fabulous are these crinkly tea dyed pages in the signatures?
They are just a hint of what’s to come…..
Nicola shared a ‘craft with me’ tutorial on her YouTube channel for making pretty hidden paperclip clusters using the Belle Vintage French Rose kit.
You’ll also get a few sneak peeks of the completed pages in her French journal.

Does it inspire you to see how Nicola puts together her laces and embellishments?
I think this one below is my favourite cluster ♥

A Fancy Light Up Ballet Shoe
Honestly, Nicola’s creative ideas astound me…. isn’t this paper ballet shoe simply scrumptious!
It’s even more impressive when you see it lit up with fairy lights.
Wouldn’t this be an adorable night light for a girls room… especially if she loved to dance.
This one is lighting up Nicola’s pretty and shabby craft desk. You can see her creative space on her IG account.
Nicola shared a ‘how to’ video on how to make this paper ballet shoe… and it is is easier than you probably imagine.
A Ballet Shoe Challenge
If you enjoyed this tutorial and want to make a ballet shoe yourself, Nicola has set a challenge for others to share their ballet shoes in our FB groups, Simply Shabbilicious and Shabby Journals and More.
Shabby Stacked Envelopes
Have you ever made a stacked envelope?
They are such fun…. and really quite easy. They make for exciting happy mail too.
In the YouTube video above, Nicola shows you how she made this one using the Belle kit .

Nicola’s final project was a cute altered embroidery hoop using one of the French ladies and roses from the kit.
I love how lacy and shabby this is.
I’ve always endeavoured to design digital kits that are suitable for a wide variety of paper crafting projects, so I hope Nicola’s quite diverse projects this week have inspire you to think of different ways to use my Belle kit.
