Welcome to Shabby art Boutique
There are some new friends here. . . so a big ’HELLO’ to you.
It’s also nice to see some of my older friends swapping over to Bloglovin and following Shabby Art Boutique there now.
I’d hate to lose any of my ‘shabbilicious’ friends, so I hope everyone has found new ways to stay in contact now that Google Reader has been retired. There are also other options on my sidebar.
Did you miss anything at Shabby Art Boutique in June?
I started the month of by sharing some of my Gran’s homemade cleaning recipes.
No need to use harsh chemical when natural products are just as effective!
I revisited a childhood favourite when I made these sweet little
“Keeper of the Buttons’ dolls from wooden cut-outs and vintage paper dolls.
That same week I showed you how I made a Cottage Wreath
from the pruning’s of my lavender bush.
By the 3rd week of June I was hard at it preparing for my market stall.
I shared my new shabby applique tea towels and some of my
shabby vintage pretties that were going off to the market with me.
Last week I transformed an old frame into a
‘Granny Chic’ noticeboard using a favourite vintage doily.
. . . And this recipe for one of my family’s favourite
sweet treats – yummy Butterfly Cakes
Don’t forget that every Friday here at Shabby Art Boutique we come
together to share all that is ‘Shabbiliciously Gorgeous’ with the
Shabbilicious Friday Link Party.
Hope you enjoyed the month that was June!

Well thank you JaneEllen. I’m thrilled that so many people have enjoyed it. I love producing the magazine and getting to work with such lovely contributors. The next issue is almost finished and I think it is even better then the last two!
Hope you had a great 4th of July celebration 🙂

July already and the weather here in the UK is just as un-reliable as ever (sad-face).
Our local Farmer’s market now has a new stall – Cupcakes. They do all sorts of flavours – Apple crumble, Rhubarb & custard, Double Choc, Wimbledon Special (strawberries & cream), Raspberry Bakewell, Citrus zing (lemon & orange) and loads more. They also do mini cupcakes made from a mix that makes them suitable as doggie treats (so cute). I’m glad the market only happens twice a month as I think the waistline would suffer even more than it does at the moment.

Laura I agree…. where did June go? It’s a bit scary to think that Christmas will be here before we know it. I really should be thinking about my Christmas collection by now, but just can’t get my head around it yet.
